Dear Neighbors,
Many of you have asked me about the church rezoning. My opponent stated on i45NOW he never supported church re-zoning.
The following plans show Gloria Dei was re-zoned in October of 2020, during my opponent’s term as Mayor, from Residential to Mixed Use.
I participated as a citizen in the creation of the 2020 comprehensive plan and strenuously objected to the re-zoning. This is one of the major reasons I am running for Mayor. As Mayor, I plan to reverse this City Master Plan zoning map that turned Gloria Dei from Residential to Corridor Mixed Use. My opponent voted for, signed and approved the 2020 Master Plan which is his vision for the next 10 years for Nassau Bay.
I believe this re-zoning decision is wrong and we as a community need to protect our churches. I need your vote and help to make sure this re-zoning is corrected.
